Top 5 Smartphones of Q3 2021

#1. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G

Compared to Q2, we have a foldable smartphone, namely the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G, taking the #1 trending smartphone of Q3 2021. Priced from RM6699 onwards, the foldable phone is the first Samsung smartphone to come with a 4MP under-display front-facing camera, IPX8 water resistance and S-Pen support.

Other than that, 12MP wide-angle + 12MP telephoto + 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera at the rear and a 10MP camera on the cover. Furthermore, it also has a 7.6-inch Foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz display that supports HDR10+. That said, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G came equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G chipset, making it the perfect candidate if you’re looking for a foldable smartphone with bleeding-edge technologies and features. #2. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3

Next on our list, we have yet another foldable smartphone by Samsung which is the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. Much like the previous entry, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 also come with IPX8 water resistance to ensure that the device remains functional even after being submerged underwater (up to a certain depth, of course).

In #3, we have the value-focused POCO X3 Pro, which comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, 5160mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging and 120Hz display from the price of only RM999 for the 6GB RAM variant. If you need a smartphone with a little more RAM, you can opt for the 8GB variant at the price of RM1299.

The display also supports a 360Hz touch sampling rate, allowing the phone to respond to your input as soon as your finger touches the screen. While you may not be getting the best of the best when it comes to the cameras, the POCO X3 Pro is a great choice if you’re looking for a smartphone that’s suitable for mobile gaming.

#4. Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G

Not only that, but it also comes with several features that are typically found on higher-end smartphones like a 4500mAh battery which supports up to 25W fast charging, 64MP with OIS + 12MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro + 5MP depth sensor, Samsung Pay, and more. Top 5 Tablets for Q3 2021

#1. Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite

Onto our #2 spot, going up a notch from it's previous #3 ranking in Q2 we have the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite from Samsung. Powered by the Samsung Exynos 9611 chipset, 4GB RAM, and 64GB ROM it is officially priced at RM1699. Unlike our previous entry, the Tab S6 Lite is compatible with the S-Pen, which can be attached to the side of the tablet so that it doesn’t roll off the table.

#3. Xiaomi Pad 5

Next on our list, we have the Xiaomi Pad 5 at the price of only RM1399. The tablet comes with many features that are usually available on flagship-level smartphones and tablets like an 11-inch 120Hz WQHD+ Display, Snapdragon 860 chipset, 6GB RAM, and a huge 8720mAh battery that supports up to 33W fast charging.

In addition to that, it also supports the Xiaomi Smart Pen that allows the user to quickly write down notes or sketch during a meeting. The Xiaomi Pad 5 is a great tablet if you’re looking for something that’s a little more value-focused but probably isn't the best device for productivity.

#1. Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

The most searched wearable for Q3 2021 on our list goes to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 that’s available from the price of RM899 for the 40mm variant. The main highlight of the smartwatch is the Samsung BioActive Sensor, which includes sensors for Optical Heart Rate + Electrical Heart + Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis.

Furthermore, it has IP68 water and dust resistance, MIL-STD-810G drop and shock certification, and it’s able to withstand up to 5ATM, making it suitable for those who indulge in watersports or more rugged situations. Last but certainly not least, we have the Amazfit T-Rex Pro in our #5 spot at the price of RM659. The smartwatch is the only one in this list to be able to withstand up to 10ATM, which is equivalent to depths of around 100 metres.

But that’s not all, if you’re constantly on the move, you’ll be pleased to know that the watch is able to last up to 18 days, and up to 40 hours with GPS on, which is hopefully more than enough if you’re ever stranded while out adventuring. Top 5 Laptops of Q3 2021

#1. ASUS Laptop 15 A516

Starting from as low as RM2049, the ASUS Laptop 15 A516 is a great choice for those who are keen on getting a laptop for studies or handling documents where performance isn’t a priority. Equipped with up to an Intel Core i5 processor and up to an Nvidia MX330 GPU, it’s more than capable of handling most day to day tasks from browsing the internet to running picture editing software.

It also has a 15.6-inch NanoEdge Display that helps reduce glare, giving you up to a 178-degree viewing angle, making it easier to share what you’re watching with a friend. You might want to consider adding additional RAM, as 4GB of RAM might not be enough even for Google Chrome, which is known to be very RAM-hungry.

#2. Acer TravelMate Spin P4

Onto our #2 spot, we have the Acer TravelMate Spin P4 that’s geared more towards productivity starting from the price of RM4699 for the i5 variant while the i7 variant is priced at RM5399. Coming with up to an Intel i7-1165G7 processor and 8GB RAM out of the box (upgradeable up to 32GB), the laptop can reliably run many productivity-focused applications like Microsoft Office 365, picture editing software, and multiple Google Chrome tabs without any issues.

In addition, it also features the Intel WiFi 6 AX201 for faster download and upload speeds and it can be used in tablet mode along with a stylus to quickly sketch or take notes. However, because it only comes with Intel Iris Xe graphics instead of a discrete graphics card, it is not exactly the best at running resource-intensive games. So if you're looking for a lightweight, portable and productivity-focused laptop, the Acer TravelMate Spin 4 is definitely worth considering.

#3. Realme Book

In #3, we have realme’s very first laptop called the realme Book that’s equipped with either an 11th Gen Intel i3 or an Intel i5 processor at the price of RM2499 and RM3499 respectively. While it only comes with Intel UHD Graphics, it has 8GB of RAM, which is more than enough if you’re only using the laptop for productivity workloads instead of playing games.

Furthermore, the 65W PD Super-Fast Charge is incredibly convenient as it’s able to quickly charge up the laptop’s battery to 50% in just 30 minutes. The realme Book is a lot more suitable for content creators where colour accuracy is important as it has a 14-inch 1440p display with 100% sRGB colour gamut. However, you might struggle a little when it comes to editing videos on Adobe Premiere Pro because of the lack of a discrete graphics processor.

#4. ASUS TUF Gaming A15

Next on the list, the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 that was released earlier this year starts from RM5299 and RM6999 for the RTX 3060 and RTX 3070 respectively. Also, because it comes with the Ryzen 7 5800H and 16GB RAM (expandable), it’s more than capable of handling most esports titles and Triple-A games that are currently available on the market.

Additionally, the 1TB capacity NVMe drive is not only fast, but it has more than enough space to store the operating system, games, and videos. With that said, if you’re looking for a decent gaming laptop with up to 240Hz display that will last you several years, you might want to consider this.

#5. Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57

Lastly, we have the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57 which is yet another gaming laptop at the price of RM5699 that has an 11th Intel processor, 16GB RAM, 144Hz FHD display and an RTX 3060 GPU. Much like our previous entry, the Acer Nitro 5 is also capable of running most games available without any issues.
