Just a few hours ago, Evan Blass leaked the "official" first look of the upcoming gaming smartphone from his Patreon account and from the looks of it, the design is not too far from the predecessor.

ASUS recently confirmed that the ROG Phone 3 would be launching on 22 July 2020 and news has trickled in over the weeks. More details are confirmed recently and about the only thing left we don't know would be the retail price. Sources have also found the phone certified on the Taiwan NCC.

It was only a few hours ago that Qualcomm officially announced the Snapdragon 865+ chipset's existence, and it will be making the first debut on both the ASUS ROG Phone 3 and Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone. Speaking of the latter, it seems that Lenovo is going head-to-head with ASUS by launching their gaming device on the same day which is 22 July 2020.

As speculated over the past few weeks, Qualcomm have finally revealed the long-awaited Snapdragon 865+ 5G Mobile Platform. Presented by Senior Vice President and General Manager of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc, Alex Katouzian said this new chipset will more powerful in terms of gameplay and a more "intuitive" AI.

Based on a video posted by Tech Elucidations on their Facebook page, it seems that the ASUS ROG Phone 3 will most definitely be the first smartphone to come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset. But that’s not all, other rumours have also stated that the device will also have up to 16GB RAM, 144Hz refresh rate display, as well as up to 512GB of internal storage.

Based on a statement by Ice Universe on the user’s weibo account, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset will most likely be unveiled somewhere around July 2020 provided there are not hiccups. It seems that a recent statement by a user on weibo seems to hint that the upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 3, will most likely come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus and up to 16GB of RAM. While not much is known in regards to the release date for, we can expect the smartphone to most probably be unveiled at the same time or slightly right after Qualcomm officially unveils the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset.
