Samsung Malaysia Electronics have officially launched their new Samsung Premium Experience Store in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. Featuring a total built-up area of 4241 square feet, the new store offers plenty of space and sections including a cafe, VR section, customer support and so forth to try out.

In contrast to some other EISA 2017-2018 award winners, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus both won the Best Smartphone EISA 2017-2018 award together for their do-it-all capabilities. While there is mention of the bezel-less Infinity Display, iris scanner and new Bixby voice assistant, there isn't any single feature that has been particularly highlighted or focused on, except perhaps that the 12MP rear camera more or less remains the same (yes, they have a better camera algorithm technology, but it is basically the same hardware). Regardless, these "formidable do-it-all" devices were also affected by the recent price drop and are available from RM2595 (Galaxy S8, RRP: RM3299) and RM2899 (Galaxy S8 Plus, RRP: RM3699).

Just yesterday, Samsung Electronics has released their second quarter financial results as of 30 June 2017. At that point of time, Samsung’s revenue for the quarter was KRW 61.00 trillion, an increase of KRW 10.06 trillion YoY, while operating profit for the quarter posted a record KRW 14.07 trillion, an increase of KRW 5.92 trillion YoY.
