Google Chrome is without a doubt the most popular internet browser in the world and has been so for more than a decade now. However, do you know what’s the second most popular internet browser?

Surprisingly, the answer is actually Microsoft Edge! Edging out Safari, Firefox, Opera and other random internet browsers out there, it seems that Microsoft has finally recovered from the days of having one of the most loathed browsers, the now defunct Internet Explorer.

Google has announced the Chrome OS Flex that aims to breathe new life into your old PCs or Macs today. The free software tool allows users to turn their old PCs that no longer receive official updates to Chromebook-like devices. 

Microsoft doesn't really like the idea of Windows users merely using its Edge browser as a tool to install Google Chrome, and it shows with this new prompt message. According to a report, Microsoft Edge will now show various messages to users by hinting that it's a better browser compared to Google Chrome. 

You may now perform basic edits on PDF files without leaving Google Chrome. Thanks to Adobe's new Acrobat PDF Reader Extension for Chrome, users can easily add comments, highlights or drawings to PDF files in the browser window using a dropdown pane.

For those who don't know, Google Lens is a feature that is available on some Android smartphones. Thought to be an exclusive tech for Android phones, Google just announced that this technology is coming soon to the Google Chrome web browser.

Google has announced its in-house processor Tensor alongside the Pixel 6 series earlier. Recently, there's also a report claiming that both products will launch on 13 September, one day before the Apple iPhone 13 series. After the event, the company might move on to make new processors for future tablets and Chromebooks rather than just for smartphones.

Initially, Google planned on full removing full-length URLs on Google Chrome, showing only the domain name instead. Google’s justification was that removing full-length URLs will make it much easier for users to not get scammed as it’s easier to spot any red flags on in the URL.

When it comes to Chromebooks, it's usually never viewed as a notebook for gaming because of its association with education. Well, that could be changed in the future as there is evidence that Google is working on a Game Mode for ChromeOS.

It seems that the developers of Google Chrome have recently unveiled a new Live Caption feature that will automatically generate captions on webpages that are playing audio or video. Previously, a similar feature was initially available on devices such as Google Pixel or Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
