The Xiaomi Mi 9 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 has been spotted on SIRIM, which is a good indicator that the devices will be officially available in Malaysia very soon. As of now, Xiaomi did not give an official mention regarding the price and whether the Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition will be officially available locally.

While the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is not officially available in Malaysia, the device can be bought from Lazada or Shopee with the cheapest starting RM869 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage while the 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 64GB variants are going for RM999 and RM1129 respectively. Do take note that these devices are international units, so don’t be surprised that there are differences such as the lack of Google Play support, limited warranty as well as a different charging adapter.

Redmi announced on their official Weibo account that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be their first smartphone to feature the latest Snapdragon 675 chipset which was only released last October which makes this smartphone one of the first to have this chipset.

Xiaomi has recently announced the launch of the Redmi Note 7 which comes equipped with a 48MP image sensor in the rear starting from the price of RMB999(~RM603) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage, RMB1199(~RM724) for 4GB + 64GB and RMB1399(~RM844) for the 6GB + 64GB variant.

Starting from 16 November 2018 onwards, Xiaomi will be the first brand in Malaysia to offer e-SIM by Durian Man app starting from a low as RM1. The e-SIM allows the device to function even without a physical SIM. Not only that, it reduces the overall cost needed to manufacture the SIM as well.

Leaked images of the Redmi Note 6 Pro have surfaced courtesy of the Xiaomi Subreddit of reddit.com showcasing partial tech specs of the device such as a 20MP + 2MP selfie camera, 12MP + 5MP rear camera, 6.26-inch display and lastly a 4000mAh non-removable battery. Seeing as how it is a 19:9 aspect ratio display, the device could have a display notch at the top. In terms of memory configuration, the box image shows that this is a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant.
