The 6.44-inch display Xiaomi Mi Max will soon be available in Malaysia with the official release date being tomorrow on 3 September 2016 for RM999. Compatible with both YES and Celcom networks, bundle plans should be announced shortly but you can also get the Mi Max from Lazada and stores serviced by their official distributor Thorus.

Yes recently announced that they will be offering the Yes Altitude 4G LTE smartphone for RM188 with a monthly commitment fee of RM68 on their Yes 4G LTE 68 postpaid plan under a limited-time "Merdeka & Malaysia Day Promotion". The Yes 4G Altitude phone normally retails for RM399 but to get the RM188 price tag and unlimited VoLTE calls, you will have to sign up for a 12 month contract under the aforementioned plan. Today, Yes has announced that they are offering online pre-orders for the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 7. which was revealed days ago retailing at RM3199 (inclusive of GST). It is available for pre-order at the Yes Online Store from as low as RM1599 (inclusive of GST) with eligible Yes 4G LTE postpaid plans.

Just yesterday, both YES 4G LTE by YTL and Webe digital launched their mobile plans for Malaysia. Both are using WiMax technology to help support their 4G connectivity and offer some super interesting features to stay connected. Not so many big official announcements this week so the rumours were focused on a bit more with the OnePlus 3 not using 100% of its 6GB RAM and its CEO's subsequent response. Other standout rumours include that we may see the honor 8 and honor X3 next month, while a more powerful Xiaomi Mi 5s could be coming soon too. A new U Mobile Hero P98 postpaid plan also made an appearance, reportedly offering 30GB of data at RM98 a month.

After the recent co-launch with Samsung Malaysia's Galaxy J 2016 series last week, YTL recently held a buka puasa to fete Malaysia's media and in turn reveal some of their plans for Malaysia's future YES mobile 4G LTE users. Granted, they themselves have admitted that they have been relatively quiet but this has mainly because they have been strengthening their 4G LTE network to achieve fast and dense connections over 85% of the nation.
The big reveal last week showed off their Voice over LTE but at the buka puasa they also maintained that they are the only Malaysia 4G LTE provider to fully maximize their spectrum. With their mobile plans set for a launch on 30 June 2016, they felt that the timing for the release is just right as the amount of 4G LTE capable devices and users has increased enough for a compelling price tag with their upcoming mobile plans.
