We’re still about 2 months away from the Huawei Mate 30’s release but already a flood of leaks and speculations have cropped up about the much anticipated device. The latest leak is from Twitter leaker @RODENT950 who claims that the vanilla variant of the device may feature a 40MP + 40MP + 8MP triple camera setup in a square arrangement, similar to the Huawei Mate 20 series. This time, the rumour is a little different than the last.

Huawei consumer BG has announced that the Chinese manufacturer has sold more than 200 million smartphones in the year of 2018, outselling 2017 by nearly 50 million units, pulling ahead of Apple in terms of sales 3 quarters in a row, retaining its number 2 spot as the second best smartphone brand internationally. This is largely due to the “out-of-the-box” thinking and design philosophy that Huawei did in order to design and manufacture their smartphones while retaining a "consumer-centric" focus on innovation.

Huawei teases that the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 Pro will be coming with a larger battery than its predecessor. According to the image courtesy of pocket-link.com, the battery of the upcoming Huawei device will be larger than 4000mAh. Paired up with the upcoming Huawei In-house processor, the HiSilicone Kirin 980 chipset featuring the Neural Processing Unit, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro will see a huge improvement in terms of battery life, comfortably pushing the usage per charge to more than a or two day assuming my theories are correct.

Finally, after many weeks of teasing the Huawei Mate 8 has been officially unveiled and it is a fullmetal phablet with three types of pricing. The three variant costs are a 3GB + 32 GB model for CNY 2999 (RM1985.09), 4GB + 64GB for CNY 3699 (RM2448.43) and 4GB + 128GB for CNY 4399 (RM2911.78). It packs some serious tech specs too:-
- TSMC’s based Kirin 950, quad Cortex A72 cores (2.3GHz) and quad Cortex A53 cores (1.8GHz)
- 3GB/4GB RAM
- 32GB/64GB/128GB storage (microSD card not known)
