It’s no secret that since its launch on 2 January, the Central Database Hub (PADU) has faced scrutiny from the public, the number of people updating their info on the database is still low despite the due date being just a mere 7 days away. With the Sarawak Government also voicing reservations about PADU, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has instructed Economy Minister Rafizi Ramil to clarify the database’s registration issue at the Cabinet Meeting next week.

Specifically, PADU through its official Facebook page announced that 3.08 million Malaysians and permanent residents (PRs) have updated their info on the database as of 11.59pm on 13 February 2024.
